For sale! Radio Shack DX-398 All-Band Shortwave Receiver Radio in working order. This one has the modifications that make it preferred over the straight factory version of DX-398 and Sangean ATS-909. The mods are LED lights upgrade; chuffing eliminated so there is no muting of audio while tuning; indent removed from tuner so the tuning wheel spins easily without such resistance. One thing I've noticed is that as the batteries run down, the display weakens a bit. I don" t know why, could be a matter of battery brand quality. This issue has never bothered me, but I wouldn't list the radio without mentioning it. Display does remain bright when using external power. Missing rear kickstand support. 1 of the tires has good tread, the other 3 have poor tread. They can be used as a "spare" tire for emergencies, or you can mount your winter tires on the rims in time for winter instead of having to pay each time you have your mechanic mounts or removes your snow tires. $30 for the wheel with good tread, $15 each for the others, or $60 for all 4....
